Nesli
Han, Istanbul, Turkey:
In February 2007 Landmark acquired a fully leased residential
complex in a sale and leaseback transaction with Turkey’s
prestigious private Bilgi University .
The property
is located in the Tophane neighborhood in Beyoglu, next to
the rapidly redeveloping Galataport area overlooking the Bosporus
on the European side of Istanbul.
The property
consists of approximately 9,500 square meters containing118
rooms which currently accommodate visiting faculty and students.
The complex is composed of two attached and a third stand
alone building which were fully renovated in 2005.
This acquisition
represents a combination of Landmark’s dual strategy
by acquiring both a long term leased income producing asset
along with a site with significant re-development potential
due the properties view of the Bosporus and area’s recent
designation as a tourism-commercial zone.
