Dugi Rat, CroatiaKorenat Point Resort, Dugi Rat, Croatia:

In June 2006 Landmark acquired the first parcel of land in the site assembly project that has become known as Korenat Point Resort. It is a 21 hectare tourist resort development site situated on a mainland peninsula approximately 20km south of Split in the Dalmatia region of Croatia.

The level site provides unrivalled access to the sea with 220 degree panoramic views to the Island of Brac.

The site includes c 142,000 sq.m. of freehold land and the project has the full support of local and central government ensuring its status as a luxury tourist resort (Spatial Plan T2) offering a 200 bed hotel and club, a waterside village with retail and recreational facilities including an 350 berth marina.

The site is being assembled by Landmark's partners Poseidon Group and a master plan has been designed by EDAW and Phase 1 is being designed by Conran and Partners.

The site of a former ferro-alloy smelting factory, the land requires extensive remediation works. Phase one of the project, the demolition of the buildings, plant and machinery was completed in summer 2009. The contract for the second phase, the environmental remediation of the land, has been awarded to a specialist Croatian company, Colligo. Estimated at two years, the operation commenced in June 2010. Any valuable by-product of the remediation works will be marketed by our appointed metal brokers, Cometra. www.cometra.com.mt
